Lake of the Pines Homes For Sale

Trotter Properties can make buying a home in Nevada County and Santa Clara County easy, whatever type of property you are searching for.

lop-foutainNestled in the Sierra Foothills, Lake of the Pines is located approximately 40 minutes northeast of Sacramento, between Grass Valley and Auburn, making it an ideal commuter location.  It is located less than two hours from Tahoe and two hours to San Francisco. Living at Lake of the Pines has a small town, rural feel with all the comforts of a resort. You are above the fog and below the snow at this middle elevation with super temperatures all year long.

You will find about 1,997 lots of which each home has been custom built. It was developed by Boise Cascade as primarily a summer home community but quickly became the primary home to most residents. There is a clubhouse with bar and dining facilities, 19 hole Dark Horse Golf Course and driving range, pro shop with adjacent sports lounge and grill, swimming and wading pools, tennis courts, 230 acre lake with 5 miles of shoreline, 8 various community parks, boat marina and more. Magnolia Creek winds through the community feeding three of the lakes within the gates. If you visit the Lake of the Pines website you will also find a myriad of clubs to participate in. There is never a lack of something to keep one busy here.

With scores at the top of the list in California many young families with school age children call this community home. There is a separate elementary, middle school and high school in the area. The high school recently added an aquatic center and performing arts center. This is also a retirement destination for many relocating from the bay area. The close proximity to a wide variety of services is very attractive especially for the older residents.

Homes range from the low $300,000’s to one million plus. The size of homes also range from around 1,200 square feet to over 5,000 square feet in various areas of the Lake of the Pines community. You may want to find that lakefront home or if golfing is your thing the course could be in your backyard! What makes Lake of the Pines home to many is the quality of the community with the affordability factor built in.
