As most things occur in life, my meeting with Steve was by chance. When a family friend heard I was in the market for a home he told me to give Steve a shot. His description of Steve sounded completely wrong for a real estate agent. I was told Steve was a keen negotiator and full of tenacity to find the right house for the client, not just the right house to make a sale.
Upon meeting Steve I quickly realized he was a businessman intent on pleasing his clients. Which to Steve, this meant tirelessly looking at over 10 houses a day, numerous open houses, and speaking with listing agents and owners to get an edge. While all this was occurring he was also paying close attention to my reactions of neighborhoods and homes so he could better understand what I truly cherished in a home. Steve is not the average. He is the high water mark that all others pretend and strive to be. He and his wife, Colleen, form a wonderful pair. What amazes me is that I had many factors against me such as a recent bankruptcy, and minimal money to put down. But even with these factors, you managed to show me over 20 homes that fit my requirements and desire…and the one home that I thought I could never have…is the one that accepted our offer and I have been enjoying these past two months.

I wanted to make sure that you both understood how all of your hard work and dedication to Julie and I made us feel. I know that I have said it many times, but we never would be where we are today if it weren't for you. After looking for 6 months with another Realtor, we had almost given up hope. Luckily I listened to somebody very close to me and made the switch to you, and, Steve, you were able to help us find our dream first home. After only 1 month, and even with all of the odds stacked against us! Only you could make it happen. The service, communication, and straight-forward approach took the stress out of buying a home, something that I never thought would be possible. The little things that you did along the way as well will not be forgotten, from cleaning up the house, to working on the pool, to even offering to help us move...you have created a "Raving Fan". Dear Colleen and Steve,
I knew when I met Colleen at an open house in Santa Clara she would be the one that would find us a house; at the same time she told me about Steve and how they were a team.
Colleen showed us everything available in the Cambrian area and beyond, we had such fun running around for weeks. When we found the house it was a flip sale. Steve stepped in and with his knowledge, and negotiating skills we were able to seal the deal. Without Steve it would not have been possible.
Thank you both so much for all your time, and friendship. We feel Colleen and Steve Trotter are by far the best team in real estate, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for real estate.
It was fate, the day I stopped at the open house in Santa Clara...

My goodness, where do I start? I can never say Thank You enough. Steve and you were both so awesome during the entire process. I have never met anyone so dedicated and work so very hard for their clients as the two of you have. I have met quite a few agents in the last few years, yet none of them compare to your level of service and genuine care and concern for your clients.
From the moment we met Colleen, almost 2 years ago now at the Kimberly house, you have always been there for Don and I, even when we had to pull back and give up for a while. You kept in touch.
We combed just about every house listed for months, we drove you nuts I’m sure, but you stuck with us. Now we have the home that Don wanted, in the neighborhood we wanted, and at a price we could afford.
Steve was stellar in negotiating the close & all the loan paperwork. A 10 day close? Amazing! There is so much I can say, and the best way I can honor you both is to let you know that I will highly recommend you to everyone I know.
